Job 1:8 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
Job 1:9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.
Job 1:10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
Job 1:11 But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
Job 1:12 The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

Job 42:12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first.

Nobody wants to be a modern day Job. I pray that in the end God will bless you beyond your imagination. I believe that he will.

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. (Hebrews 6:19-20)

This has always been an encouragement to me. I see myself as a ship with the anchor line out straight to God, behind the curtain. No matter how rough the storm, no matter if I’m being driven along out of control, He still has that anchor line and I cannot drift away from Him. All the rope may be let out, the sail gone and the rudder broken, but He still has me.

I know that’s not going to fix things, but maybe it’ll help a little. You can call me any time you need to.
