1. Boil water on the stove
2. Add boiling water to 1 gallon plastic decanter.
3. Add two family size teabags to steep. (Steeping time varies, I usually have 30 mins.)
4. Place plastic decanter in -25 degree windchills.
5. Wait 25 minutes, your iced tea will be created as one large ice cube. (Or should I say tea cube.)
Tune in next time for more Fun With Wind Chill…
In other news, I’ve been writing about Lenga these days. Sure, I could mention that a certain someone now has their own website. This is, of course, not to be confused with kipmckean.com.
I could mention that Brian Felushunko now has a blogger account. Brian is the evangelist of the Vancouver Church. I know because of DisciplesToday. I am happy that DToday produced a news item about a non-UP church.
What I will mention, with its own post eventually, is that the church I attend has been invited to join the evening worship service of another CoC in town. At the end of Feb, we will be going to the so-called “black” church of Christ in town to worship together. I am greatly encouraged by this development and I hope it leads to more such events.
Hiatus will end shortly. I’m teaching a class in March and I’ll post the notes. See you soon.
Um, there’s a step missing form your Iced Tea recipe. You know, the one where you add 2/3 cup of sugar. An oversight, I’m sure.
I see that Thomas uses WordPress. I knew there was a reason that I didn’t like WordPress.
But he doesn’t allow comments, I wonder why not?
That’s great news about your collaborative service with the other COC.
2/3 cup?!?! Try 1 & 2/3 cup. When it’s brewed this strong, that’s the minimum for Southern standards.
Not everyone can be Moveable Type like you. :p
Hey, some of us drink unsweetened iced tea.
(And you should try to find it that way in Canada sometime. They’re worse than any Southerner.)

Don’t forget to take into account the freezing point suppression when glucose is dissolved in it. It may take as long as 26 minutes to become that block of ice you were looking for.
(Hint: you need only about 1/3 as much sugar as salt by weight to get the same freezing point suppression.)
Hey, some of us drink unsweetened iced tea.
That’s unfortunate. Have you considered talking to a physician about that?
Ha! Ha!….no, I haven’t. Now, I do drink sweet tea once in a while (must have fresh limes to go with, of course); but real women drink unsweetened tea. And I live in S. Texas!! (of course, my family is originally from Chicago)

My momma made sweet tea I drink unsweet. I can’t take all that sugar.
Cool on the meeting with another Church.
dude you are getting week, 1 & 2/3? when we were roommates it was at least 2 1/2 cups.
et tu brute?
SOME of us have to cut back for health reasons. Once I figure out the right dosage of stevia, there’ll be no sugar at all.
Dude, you should have been at our house growing up. I don’t know the quantity of sugar, but I’d wager that the ratio of tea to sugar was 1:1. Mom’s tea is so strong, though. Spoon dissolving strong. I’m surprised the sugar didn’t separate and run away.
BTW: Hey TTK, I can’t email you anymore. Address is not available is the error I get. Could be the work email filter. I don’t know.
Wow, Thomas’ web site is quite interesting. If I understand him correctly, the mainline CofC didn’t like him because he messed up their slogan??
And what about his contention that it was all mainlines who took over the ICoC and kicked him and his understudies out? Is there any sliver of truth in that?
how strange. i don’t think i’ve had any problems so you may be right about your email filter.
