So I Called a Friend of a Friend

and ended up on the Rocky Mountain Religious Ride with my friend SpiritualTramp.

Now, I came in a bit of a bluster and couldn’t seem to land on a point. Yeah, I was rearranging the bedroom and slightly distracted. I gave away my really liberal politics talking about Iran’s democracy and the effects of religious hate speech. I brought up Falwell, but forgot to mention Pat Robertson.

Oh well. I was going to try to explain it, but I don’t think it is really worth it. I am a much better when I prepare something in advance. Next week, I’ll be better. I certainly won’t sound so angry.

I gave my religious history in thumbnail form and of course there are things I wished I had said, things I wished I had kept to myself, and so on. I also threw out the parting shot, there really is no such thing as a non-denominational church. We’ll be talking about divisions next week.

I promise I’ll be more civilized and prepared.

  1. Scott says:

“I promise I’ll be more civilized and prepared.”

Do that and you won’t fit in as well. Okay well that’s not exactly true. Aaron’s usually prepared and I’m usually civilised. If you’re civilised AND prepared it’ll be like FOUR hosts.
