Final Details

Turns out that the footer of this theme is base64 encrypted to avoid making changes. The problem was that the links went to a spam site. So, the theme has been fixed to correctly point to the creator of this theme, twice. Links to spam sites have been removed.

Also changed was the archive code. The archive code will now correctly display the date and comments from older posts.

Other than that, I hope to switch back and forth between this and the customized purpleish theme. I have to remove the spam links from that one as well.

Content for letters to my son are almost done. Finished one and working on the others. Last edit this week. Otherwise, a regular schedule will be followed for posting. Anything out of schedule will be about immediate events or the website itself.

Monday will be a spiritually minded post.
Wednesday will be a more of a family post.
Friday will be a post with drafts of my fiction writing/podcasting.

Schedule starts next week. Much love to my friends.

I like the header graphic, but I need it ‘splained to me.

The Full Explanation of All Things Pinakidion:

Main Header graphic: It looks neat and feels like it vaguely pertains to writing.

Outside of that, I added Luke 1:63Open Link in New Window in Hebrew (bottom left), Aramaic (beneath the feather), and English 3 times (behind pinakidion.* and main graphic)

pink is a different color from the rest of the word because it is the short form of pinakidion that came to be used on the Delphi ICoC Discussion forum for me. Pinak grates my ears and Pina doesn’t sound as good to me.

A writing tablet for my thoughts has always been the tagline. The Greek word pinakidion means writing tablet. As the blog is the repository for my writing, it seemed like a good name. The word itself appears once in the Bible in Luke 1:63Open Link in New Window. If you place the greek word into Luke 1:63Open Link in New Window you get:

He asked for a pinakidion and wrote, His name is John. As I go by the name John in real life, I thought it clever.

Seeing as the type of tablet Zechariah was asking for was a wax tablet, my alter ego will post in the comments section from time to time under the name wax tablet.

So there is the full explanation. If I omitted anything, let me know.

Why the asterix? I noticed that you always use it in the title and in links, like in the footer.

  4. pinakidion says:

The asterisk is included because I have many of the pinakidion domains. In that sense the asterisk represents a wildcard symbol.
