SURPRISE! A church affiliated with the Portland International Church of Christ has signed the agreement. Unlike the Salt Lake Christian Church that deliberated last Wed (4/12), the Greater Baltimore Church of Christ has signed on to the plan. It is tempting to find evidence of a conspriacy or of a split within the other ICC. If this editor were to offer a conjecture, it would be that leaders of Baltimore, like many other churches, simply did not think through the implications of the written document. Instead, they did not want to look like they were disunified, so they signed the document.
