Something I want to remember

There is a person I know that has had a rather public discussion with an elder in Atlanta. I don’t want to comment on the nature of that discussion, but in the midst of it, he stated five things he wanted to see as evidence of change. I have restated them here. I think these are things that I also hope to see.

  1. Non-works & non-discipling theology taught in the pulpit and in smaller group settings.
  2. Financial records should be transparent.
  3. A systematic reveiw of the false teachings and bad theology of the past including, but not limited to, a public stance against One True Denomination teaching and against appointing an individual discipler to be ‘saved’.
  4. Work with other denominations in joint projects – no more it has to be ICC or it’s not good mentality.
  5. Good follow-up through financial and legal channels to change by-laws to reflect the new theology.
