Still Reworking

Still working on the transition.

I love this theme, but I need a different color scheme. I like something that is not Blue or Green. Eventually, it will be some kind of pink. Of course, this will include a post about how it is okay to call me pink and that I am quite secure in my masculinity.

Oh Well.

Otherwise, my wife advised that I should write things to our children. At this point, it may be specific to Brother Bear, our son. We are gearing up for his transition into pre-school which begins this Thursday. We had our choice of two preschools, but we opted for Boys Town as the teacher of the preschool is also the same person that made home visits for the past two years.

Besides, he prays for her every night. If I don’t include her in the list, he will let me know immediately that we needs to ask God to bless her. How could I take him to another teacher when she was available?

Anyway, I started writing things to Brother Bear about God and other things. Part of this is functional as we are preparing curriculum for his homeschooling in a couple years. We may put him in Kindegarden and/or 1st grade, but even then, we plan on supplementing his education. Around here, it is considered automatic for hard of hearing/deaf children to repeat kindergarten. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I feel like it is not necessary for many children. (A parent friend of ours went through this ten years ago, she is very helpful.)

As I said, we are working on curriculum. I’ve started writing it, but unlike many entries here, it will be edited and more thought-out. The first one, God is Here and He Says You Are Very Good will show up sometime this week. The second will focus on making good choices.

So that’s the haps with me. My boss encouraged me to be there for his first day of pre-school, so I may have pictures.

Until next time, God Bless…
