A writing tablet for my thoughts
13 Apr
I’m behind on the [Ephesians] meme, but I will catch up by this weekend.
No progress in other areas, due to my lack of availability. I asked the potential new minister what he thought of the UP and I heard a speech about the silent majority needs to overpower the vocal minority. Ugh.
My buddy has really started work on the Chick-Fil-A chronicles, click on the tool link at the top of the page to read on.

He actually said that? To you? Is he on the dope? Dude obviously doesn’t know you very well…
Think it might be time to let that hair grow back down to your butt, dust off a Metallica t-shirt and take up residence on the back row at church. You know, STANDING on the back row.
Oh sure, it’d be completely juvenile. But, sooo much fun to see.
I know, I know. You’re a married man, a father, a respectable adult, blah blah, yakkity schmakkity.
Make some noise!! Start a campaign!! Bust $#!% up!! Your name is Bear for a reason, Dude!
Much love!
Sheesh. Yeah, he obviously didn’t know which camp you were in. Reminds me of back when I was in colledge working as a hotel doorman, one of the valets asked me at lunch what my stand was on homosexuality was, seeing as I was Christian. I, being less compassionate and tactful back then railed on about how it was a sin, blah, blah, blah. Found out later he was gay. Oops.
BTW - No worries about being behind, I may be behind too after today. I’ve got a busy night and then a weekend away. If so, I’ll do chapters 3-4 together on Monday.
Kurt - thanks for the vote of confidence. While it is true that I can break about any wall with my head, after a while it scrambles the brains. I’m more into bulding things these days. I talk to a good buddy of mine about what we *can* do and it is yielding some results. I raised Cain when I was on the board and Raising Cain now seems counterproductive.
Doug - yeah, it completely changed my opinion of him. Doesn’t matter, I guess. I technically cannot vote in regards to his employment.
Is he saying the “silent majority” is for the UP and the “vocal minority” is against it? Or is he saying the opposite? Is he saying he’s going to go against what people say he should do because he believes the majority are with him they just don’t say anything? I guess either way, wanting one group to overpower the other is wrong anyway. And talk about overthrowing versus talk about his convictions would make me wonder about people pleasing.
Either way I agree with Kurt with two addendums. Grow your hair, put on metallica, move to Wisconsin (not to Madison or Milwaukee cause they signed the UP), and start a Chick-Fil-A.
I don’t think we have one here so were wide open man. P.S. - I was more conservative in College. I got into Tesla and Def Leopard and studied while listening to it in my early years. Later on I moved to Mozart to listen to while studying.
P.P.S. - I’m talkative today. Anyway it’s a big conviction of mine about the people with power taking advantage of those without. Last night I stayed up and watched PBS frontline, (I think), on Tieneman(sp) square and how the peasants are treated now-a-days. It made me sick. They brought it up in light of Google, Yahoo, Cisco and others going before a hearing about turning in information to help the govt. imprison dissadents. I’ve said it but I’ll say it again, it just makes me sick. Sorry for digressing.
Here is the website for the PBS show.
