I like NASCAR and I like little E. I never rooted for his father, but something about Jr is a lot of the good things in NASCAR.
I do not like Jeff Gordon. In some ways, I think he represents a lot of the not-so-good in the future of NASCAR.
There’s a good chance that they’ll be teammates, and that is not so fun.
Will DEI just give him what he wants? Please? Pretty please with sugar on top?

I’ve lived in a divided house ever since I came out about liking Jeff this might pull us back together. I hid it for years from my husband cheered silently for Jeff then in front of one of our ministers one night I told my husband. Sure he tries to be nice about it but the man was a Dale fan he now cheers for Jr. Now finally we might be able to sit together and cheer. We were married during a race weekend nineteen years ago and he still tells me of the “Big sacrifice made” I love that race loving man.
I’m not a big fan of NASCAR but I respect the drivers and do not belittle them of their skill in any way. I just grew up with open wheel racing, Indy and F1 in particular and sports car racing (Lemans) to a lesser degree.
But based on Jeff Gordon’s performance in an F1 car a few years ago, I think he is quite a good racer. I think Williams would have hired him if he would have pursued it. I also like Tony Stewert and regret his leaving IRL even though I’m sure he has made quite a bit more money by doing so.
