A writing tablet for my thoughts
23 Mar
My father bought my Cadillac from me so that I could get out from under it. Maybe in the future, I can buy it back from him. For now, though, it is a roughly $500 month headache taken away. Seriously, the payment was only $299, the insurance required by the lease, was the worst part.
Anyway, me and close friend Shane (aka tool) are off to the East Coast on a driving excursion.
The highlight, of course, is Chick-Fil-A(R).
Reason #1783 of why it’s good to love Chick-Fil-A(R):
You can create a map on their website of all their stores on a given route.

If you would like to stop in St. Louis (at a reasonable time) and meet for dinner or something just let me know. Or if you plan on coming though on a Sunday morning and would like to experience a reformed and liturgical worship service, you could visit my church. I’m sure you have been thinking about this and wanting to do it for some time (he he).
Hey, you know Columbus is only a half an inch out of the way. I live right off the highway and there’s a Chick-fil-a about 2 miles from my house.
Congrats on getting rid of that Caddy. What sort of vehicle is in the cards for replacing it? If you need ideas, I can give you some suggestions.
And, while you’re at it, well, in the spirit of “Uneasy Rider” (”I wonder if anybody’d think I’d flipped If I went to L.A., via Omaha”), Albuquerque is, well, in the same country. If you zoom out on your map, it’s only an inch out of the way, too. And you could actually take “that left at Albuquerque” and settle once and for all whether or not doing so would have really kept Bugs from getting lost…
Would that you could come somewhere near the western part of NC. Oh well, great that you’re coming down, that your dad was so generous, and that you’re getting to do a road trip.
ok, well, San Antonio is a little off your map but hey…there’s a Chick-fil-a a mile from my house. If you go to Albuquerque we’re just about 16 hours west on IH-10.
Once you get to Manteo, you can have a McDonalds chicken club. I know it is not the same.
