Election Posting

A man tried to buy an election here and he lost. He lost big. He campaigned in a way reminiscent
of Jesse Helms with a twist. He bought all kinds of domain names like (name of opponent)facts.com, search for truth.org, and all kinds of other bologna. He has never held any political office of any kind and spent millions accosting us with crazy ads. He even had a cartoon ad similar to the JibJab folks.

It’s like a relative of mine says, you cannot polish a turd.

He never really said what he was going to do for the state. He only talked about what he was going to do for the country. On his website were detailed policy statements. Local agriculture, one paragraph. Border Security, pages and pages. A Democrat named John Edwards tried that. He even got to pretend to be a senator for two years before being a VP candidate. Where is he now?

Speaking of Dems, Lieberman ran for his senate seat and VP in 2000. He lost the White House, but retained his Senate seat. This time he ran as an independent for that same senate seat and beat the guy that defeated him in the primary. His state loves them some Joe Lieberman. Last time he ran no campaign and won. This time, he ran without party help and won. What’s next in 2012?

Sen McCain of Arizona has remarked that this is a wake-up call for the GOP. I think the wake-up call was discovering that there was no Post-Iraq strategy. Me and everyone else just hit the ol‘ snooze button when we got that call. Maybe our wake-up call was September 17, 2003 when our President says the following two things at different speeches that day:

There’s no question that Saddam Hussein had Al Qaeda ties.

We’ve had no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved in Sept. 11.

So Nancy Pelosi gets control of House committees that can investigate the Bush administration’s most controversial decisions on foreign, military and energy policy. Tell us, Chuck, what have we just won.

That’s right Pink, with Pelosi in power, we’ve all won riveting congressional hearings! Get you collectible cards now and cash in on eBay!

Gotta fix the announcer voice generator. It sounds too much like spam. Then again, I’m looking forward to different flash ads for my local paper. I need to get back to Falsh-blocking LowermyBills.com instead of certain aforementioned candidates.
