Bonjurno! Here I am in Rome at the Great Paperchase(tm) and I am having a lot of fun. Actually, Laryssa and I got here a few days early and we have enjoyed the old city quite a bit. On our first night here, we found a great little resturant that has tremendous food for little euro.

I am enjoying being married to my best friend, I know it is a standard Kingdom phrase, but in my case it is true.

Other than that, I went to visit the Roman Forum complete with the newer Senate building (3rd century CE) and other fun things. It was neat to stand in Pompeii’s market. Like someone had mentioned nearby, Pompeii and Corinth are quite similar.

More to come, but wanted to check in when I could. Do I like being here? Well, I enjoy Rome and I enjoy my wife. I even enjoy talking to folks from other churches. I’ve apolgized four times for Bush being re’elected. Europeans really do not like Bush.

Seeing some folks, though, just brings back a lot of hurts. I’ve had to shake my head a few times: it seems we are destined to be a nicer version of what we were, instead of really making change. Oh well, maybe my wife is right and I am too impatient.
