This webblog is here for a few basic reasons, but I felt like that those who read it from time to time would like to know.
1. I write here to express what I am feeling in the moment. It is an outlet for all the good, bad, and/or ugly things I feel.
2. I write this webblog so that I am able to let go of my past.
3. Sometimes, I really do have a good idea and this is the most accessible scratchpad.
4. I love to write and I love words.
5. I write here in order to explore possibilites in my church, my life, my hobbies, and my fictional writing.
6. Lastly, I write here because I have decided that I am not someone with worldwide influence, so I’m not going to try. I have better things to do at home.
There will be somedays where the tone is ‘negative’ for a while. This should not be interpreted to mean that I am somehow depressed. I really don’t walk around in my normal life and get depressed about church issues. I used to be overwhelmed by them, but now that I have an outlet, I have another life that I enjoy outside the web. The reason is that when a thought pops into my head, I write it down. You are welcome to comment and email me and share your thoughts. I always welcome dialogue.
A lot of times, the idea is not finished. So rather than try and impress the masses with my brillance, I get the idea down. I am not afraid of sharing my drafts. It may not be fun to read, I know, but notice that one of the purposes of this webblog does not include your convience. I write drafts because it gets it off my mind so that I can resume my normal life. I have a wonderful girlfriend, a difficult, but enjoyable ministry, and a business I hope to create with my best ‘guy’ friend. I simply do not have the inclination to edit every single article to world-class standards. My hope is that the idea is enough to spark some thought.
